Description his course will deal with the so-called “Minor Prophets.” They are “minor” only in the sense of the length of their books. These prophets ministered for several centuries to both the northern and southern kingdoms of Israel/Judah before, during, and after the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities. This course will emphasize the importance of applying the literal grammatical-historical method of hermeneutics since it provides an objective standard for understanding the meaning of any given Bible text. How these Old Testament texts are interpreted and understood will have far-reaching consequences concerning how the New Testament is interpreted, understood, and applied.
